I met someone like that- an outrageous liar. And it was also the running that confirmed it for me. This lady talked to me about all these things she had done or could do, and then told me that she had run 10 miles the day before. So in essence, she was telling me she had run between 1.5 and 2 hours the day before, right? My daughter was between 3-6 months old at the time, and I was running every day and getting back into shape. I didn't run for hours, but would run between 2-3 miles after work and I was reasonably healthy. She smoked and was not in any kind of shape. It was so weird to me at the time that someone would compulsively need to lie like that. I learned later that she had told her husband she was one age, then after they were married he learned she was 10 years older than that. So. Weird.
