Looking Ahead
Every day at school I overhear kids talking about their upcoming trip to Great America — the end-of-year amusement park day for 8th graders. It’s still a good six weeks away and they have to stay vigilant about grades and attendance during that time, but I can identify with their anticipation for this giant reward of rides, food, friends and fun.
The reason I can identify is because I’m 99% going to China. I’m committed and mentally prepared and I’ve researched and chatted with people and sought information and I can’t wait to find out even more. For a person who gets into ruts quite often…at work or being at home or seemingly anchored to this same town year after year, I don’t think there’s any better choice for me at the moment. Granted, I haven’t sent the deposit to confirm…kinda trying to hold out until the end of the month, if you know what I mean. But I’m in. It’s months away yet I think about it every day.

Oh my god. I’m so excited for you.
