The $ynchronizer
I’m With You All The Way

Saturday Post from the Donut

It just hit me that if I put all of my bookmarks onto the blog, then I can make The $ynchronizer a useful home page as well as offer true insight about the places I visit on the web. So I think I’ll do that!

I’m in Happy Donut here at 10pm before I go to the movies at 11. This guy is wondering why I keep glancing at him. It’s because he is wearing the same black Puma track jacket that I own, with red, white and gray stripes. He’s not wearing the full tracksuit, though, because he’s not totally awesome…like the $ynchronizer.

What the hell? He has a Dell, too? Do I have my first stalker??

Did you know that I am currently ranked 8th in the Facebook Daily Trivia all-time standings? Part of it is because I’ve been playing since day 1. But it’s not just consistency. I am ranked 6th for this particular month. There is a significant gap between the #1 and #2 all-time players and everyone else (those top two people have GOT to be cheating) but I intend to remain consistent and claw my way to the top.

Caught the Cal-Arizona women’s basketball game today at Haas Pavilion. I invited the girls from my teams but none of them came. I don’t know if it was disinterest or maybe their parents didn’t want them going all the way to Berkeley or if they just had other plans, but I really wish some of them could have seen the game. Devanei Hampton was cracking skulls out there, but it was totally clean…just incredibly skilled. It would have helped to get the message across that a basketball player can be tough and physical and can move someone out the way and push and bump and be appreciated for her play and not ridiculed for being aggressive. I guess it takes time and a combination of other factors to adopt that kicking ass and taking names mindset and similar array of factors to be able to physically accomplish it. I’ll keep plugging away.

This guy is dancing in front of the counter trying to impress the girl he’s with, but she’s staring off into space.  It’s all good, man.  I appreciated the effort.  Valentine’s Day was short for the girlfriend and I because I had our second basketball game to go to, plus I went driving all over different cities trying to manufacture a nice surprise for her (I didn’t call her all day) and I didn’t even make it over to her place until after 9pm.  But she appreciated the food and the chocolate and the felt-covered roses and the gin and grapefruits and The $ynchronizer.  And I appreciated having someone to talk to and embrace because that’s what I’ve wanted for a long time.  It’s true that Valentine’s Day is contrived, but it turned out to be a sweet moment for us; truly bringing us closer.

Lost the basketball games.  B Team lost big; A Team lost by two only.  Arrrrgh!

But enough typing for now.  I need to get my ass over to the movies so I don’t miss a second of the new Hayden Christensen flick.  Ugh, fuck me.  I can’t believe there’s nothing better out.  But, hey…I can’t say I’m not enjoying myself at the moment!
