Creeping Out

I’m debating whether or not to create a new blog.  The kids found this one and so I disappeared for a little while.  The day after I received a truckload of page visits the kids ran up to me in class asking about my hair from way back and wanting to be added as friends on MySpace.  Of course, the answer to everything was either “No”, “No comment” or “Why aren’t you doing your work?” but it created that feeling in the pit of my stomach that I might soon get Dooced.  Not that WhatUpThen is major in any way, shape or form…but all I need is for some parent to call up the principal with something like: “Your science teacher has been communicating with my 13-year old online.”  Actually, I was concerned about the most recent post where I mentioned some of my coworkers.  Anyway, I’m rambling now…I haven’t blogged in awhile.

So, the question now is whether I should create the new page.  It seems as if the kids have forgotten about it now…but you never can tell.  Also, I can’t think of a new name.  Whatupthen.wordpress.com is so perfect for me because I’ve had this handle “WhatUpThen” since 1997.  And it’s just that nothing else comes to mind.  UPDATE:  Just talked to the girl and she gave me the perfect suggestion for a new blog.  If it’s available, I’ll report it in the next post.  See you all soon!
