I Also Love The Internet

I don’t have the leverage to knock it because I just spent the last 20 minutes reading it, but there’s a ridiculous and entertaining feature on The AV Club about sidekicks who are cooler than their heroes. You know, like R2-D2 and Willow. Speaking of Willow, there’s a mesmerizing photo of Alyson Hannigan on the page. I can never really find it in me to label her shiveringly hot, but she’s a famous person who is difficult to look away from.  Lists are generally tons of fun, but when they are coupled with 100+ comments from geeked-out web surfers like one who found it OUTRAGEOUS that Bender from Futurama wasn’t included on the list…well, they simply become blogable. It was this comment that got me cracking up:

“I disagree with Leela as the cooler sidekick. Surely Bender is infinitely cooler than both Leela and Fry, and possibly any other sidekick cartoon character ever (with the possible exception to Cringer/Battlecat to Prince Adam/He-Man).”

Check it out! Hyperbole and a Cringer reference!! Okay, maybe you had to be there in the moment.
