I Bought Music!
Got my paycheck on January 2nd? You know what that means…time to buy everything in sight!!
Actually, I’ve been very tame about spending because I will have to shell out for both tuition and the root canal this month so even with the checking account at another all-time high, I realize it is an illusion. I did waste a little bit of money on CDs, though, which is significant because I haven’t bought a CD since my cousin in Costa Rica introduced me to ilegal (yes, that’s EE-lay-gall) music downloads via BearShare. Am I totally setting myself up by writing that? But since the music I bought was from The Fading Collection I figured some legitimate purchasing was in order rather than, you know…stealing. Supertron hits pretty hard from the opening phrases of the first song, but I especially like the “TIE Fighter” tracks. Sweet instrumentals. I had it playing before school this morning while straightening up my classroom. The track and album titles have this strange videogame connection (Supertron, Password/Pitfall, Game Over) that has to be intentional, right? I’ll say that the titles brainwashed me into buying Tetris DS as well as their other album, Interactive Family Radio.
Also, I listened to a whole lotta pop while riding around Seattle with Special K. I must have heard Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” 30 times in the last coupla weeks because I put away the iPod and started listening to the radio back in California, too. Since I already paid Beyonce by seeing Dreamgirls, I went ahead and BearShare’d that one, but I did finally buy the new Justin Timberlake today. We’ll see how it is.

AND rumor has it that The Fading Collection could be making music again soon!
Stay tuned-
