I’m With You All The Way

Sunday Notes

Before anything else, thank you, Jen, for telling me to put salsa verde on my Mexican food. That advice is serving me well this evening as I eat some perfect quesadillas.

Also, if you watched Prime Suspect: The Final Chapter on Masterpiece Theater last week or this week, you’re my kind of person. I saw Prime Suspect 5: Errors of Judgment back when I was in high school, but that movie has stayed with me for all this time. So much that when I made my first Netflix queue, I added all of the preceding Prime Suspects plus #6, which I had also missed. And then, when I heard that number seven would be one television I was just…elated. Some may think I’m silly praising a movie like this, but PS is so stylish and so intelligent…it’s worth whatever it takes to see them.

So now I’m styling with my new jacket and my new Puma shoes and jeans and new phone.  It has taken some getting used to, understanding that I now have a camera everywhere I go.  I’ve yet to decide whether or not that is useful.

Back to teaching tomorrow…ugh.  As usual, I’m not entirely prepared, which probably accounts for my lack of enthusiasm for going in.  It sounds bad, but I’m ready to quit already.  I enjoy talking with students, especially when they’re excited enough about something that they initiate the conversation.  Also, I enjoy the money.  I actually have enough now to save AND spend!  But, honestly, I miss just sitting around.  Those days at home when I had no money, but I was able to wake up at 10am and my only responsibility for the day was maybe to mop the kitchen floor.  Afterwards, go to the library…or the hardware store, or the food court or just go on a walk at a totally relaxed and leisurely pace because there was nothing to do except kill time.

  1. sometimes i think it would be worthwhile to be poor so that nothing of real consequence was ever my responsibility and i could sleep all day. i know that is ridiculous and i’d be bored in two seconds. maybe just more days off would be neat.

    i’m voting for a 32 hours work week, 4 days a week.

  2. Chris,

I wanted to pass on the info regarding the hotel Lintha, his sister and I will be staying at.

It’s really cute and on Robson street.

Oh and before I forget, we will be taking my family car up north but, if we have more peeps, then we’ll be taking Lintha’s range rover.

By the way, we were thinking of leaving Seattle Dec. 30th around 7:00/6:00 am and checking-out from Vancouver around 12 pm/maybe earlier if you need to catch your flight.

Please let me know if these times and dates don’t work. I’m really sorry that I didn’t give you a head’s up so, I don’t mind rescheduling things.

Also, let me know if you want me to pick you up from the airport when you arrive and, also you drop you off.

I REALLY can’t wait Chris! I’m super excited and I’m glad we’ll be spending New Year’s together.

Hit me up with your thoughts and comments when you can…

    Hugs,

    Kristian
