Birthday Post

There’s no doubt that Magic: The Gathering is some incredibly geeky shit. But I feel secure enough to post this image of a Magic card on my blog where no one can see…

I haven’t played in forever, but this card lingers in my mind because of its flavor text. This is some demonic hellraiser dude, but even the evil like to be acknowledged on their birthday!

It sorta sucks when a birthday falls on a Tuesday because everyone is tied up in their routine, but what can ya do? I gave myself a gift by jogging my longest distance in a year and then spoiling it at Happy Donut. As I sit here writing in the cafe, though, I’m perfectly content.

Plus, I got more “Happy Birthday’s” today than Davvol got on his special day. Mom, Dad and Rose called, of course, ’cause family is forever. A few friends and even a few MySpace people. I appreciate so much and it serves as a reminder to me that everyone likes to be acknowledged.
