You Know You’re Back in School When…

It’s 12:45am and you’re just starting to do the research and PowerPoint for a class presentation at 1pm.  Only, this time around, it’s 2006 and I’m employed so the morning hours will be spent trying to convince the high school students that I’m alert and prepared for class instead of half-asleep and stressing over the experience of Afghani youth in the United States.  It’s actually a group project, but it’s been the worst group ever…just no communication.  I’ve got to be over-prepared tomorrow because I haven’t the slightest idea what my group members will bring or say.  However, and it’s a horrible thing to say in the face of all the students out there who actually study the right way, if we can pull this assignment off with an “A” it will be one of the great/dubious achievements of my academic career.

In other news: Although we lost our 3rd adult league game to the weakest team yet, my line wasn’t as bad as I thought.
